Ricotta Doughnuts: Easy, Quick and So Delicious Dessert
Ricotta doughnuts are sweet and chewy treats made with ricotta dough, sugar, flour, eggs and flavourings. They are often served as a dessert or snack and can be sprinkled with powdered sugar or served with a sauce or fruit coulis.
1 pinch of salt
120g caster sugar
250g ricotta cheese from the fridge
grated zest of an orange or lemon
half a packet of baking powder
180g of soft wheat flour 00
Mix the eggs with the salt and the sugar.
Then add the ricotta, the citrus peel (optional), the yeast and the cinnamon.
Finally add the flour and mix well until you get a homogeneous paste without lumps.
Shape the pancakes with two spoons and fry them in hot oil.
Dip them in the sugar and serve.
