Cloud Soft Condensed Milk Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup warm milk
1/4 cup condensed milk
1 large egg
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
Glaze:
1/4 cup condensed milk
Optional Topping:
Honey butter for brushing
Directions:
Prepare the Dough:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm milk, condensed milk, and egg.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients along with the softened butter.
Mix until the dough comes together, then knead on a lightly floured surface for about 10 minutes or until smooth and elastic.
First Rise:
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Shape the Bread:
Punch down the risen dough and turn it out onto a floured surface.
Divide the dough into three equal parts. Roll each part into a long rope and braid them together.
Place the braided dough into a greased loaf pan.
Second Rise:
Cover the loaf with a damp cloth and let it rise for another 30 minutes, or until it puffs up above the rim of the pan.
Bake:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Brush the top of the bread with additional condensed milk for a sweet, golden crust.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
Finish and Serve:
Remove the bread from the oven and optionally brush with honey butter for extra shine and flavor.
Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Tips for Cloud-Soft Bread:
Milk Temperature: Ensure the milk is warm but not hot to activate the yeast without killing it.
Kneading: Proper kneading is essential. The dough should be elastic and slightly tacky but not sticky.
Proofing: Find a warm, draft-free area to help your dough rise properly.
