Soft and Fluffy Brioche Loaf
Ingredients:
2 ½ tsp active dry yeast
½ cup lukewarm fresh milk
2 cups bread flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup to ¾ cup room temperature unsalted butter
3 large eggs
3 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
Procedure:
Start by activating the yeast. Combine the lukewarm fresh milk and active dry yeast in a small bowl and let it sit until frothy, about 5-10 minutes. In a large mixing bowl, combine the bread flour, all-purpose flour, sugar, and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and eggs. Mix until a dough forms.
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface or use a stand mixer with a dough hook attachment. Knead the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic, about 8-10 minutes. Gradually incorporate the room temperature unsalted butter, adding a few pieces at a time and kneading well after each addition. Continue kneading until the dough is smooth and glossy.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1-2 hours. Once risen, punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Transfer the shaped dough into a greased loaf pan.
Cover the loaf and let it rise again until doubled in size, approximately 30-45 minutes. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the brioche loaf until golden brown and it sounds hollow when tapped, about 25-30 minutes.
Allow the brioche to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy this soft and rich brioche loaf for any occasion!
