Ingredients :
500g puff pastry
2 apples
100g apricot jam
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
Directions :
- Peel and cut the apples into thin slices.
- Roll out the puff pastry using a rolling pin.
- Using a cookie cutter, make discs (10 cm in diameter).
- In the center of each disk of puff pastry, spread about a teaspoon of apricot jam.
- Next, also place a slice of apple.
- Brush the edges of the disks with a little water, then fold them over on themselves to make the shape of the calzones.
- Seal the edge by pressing lightly with your fingers, then make a few small incisions with a knife.
- Mix milk and egg and beat with a fork. Use this mixture to brush the surface of the calzones.
- Using a knife, make a few patterns to decorate, just being careful not to cut the puff pastry.
- Poke a few holes in the bottom of each calzone with a toothpick: this way the steam will escape during cooking.
- Place the calzones on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, then bake at 175 degrees for 20 minutes in a ventilated oven
