Apple donuts in puff pastry

Ingredients

PUFF PASTRY 1 sheet
APPLES 2
EGG YOLK 1
POWDERED SUGAR

How to make puff pastry apple fritters:

Step 1
Peel the apples.

2nd step
Cut the apples into slices.

Step 3
Remove the center of each slice, then place the apple slices on a sheet of puff pastry.

Step 4
Use a small bowl to cut rounds around the apple.

Step 5
Cut out other circles of the same size and place them on each apple.

Step 6
Cut out the center of the puff pastry.

Step 7
Close the outer edges with a fork.

Step 8
Place on a baking sheet. Brush each slice with beaten egg yolk.

Step 9
Bake for 10 minutes at 180°C/356°F.

Step 10
Sprinkle with powdered sugar to serve.

Remarks :
You can use other fruits for these flaky apple fritters. Replace apple rings with bananas, firm peach slices and even pears.
