Soft and fluffy Rolls
Ingredients:
- 1 cup warm milk
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Directions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- Add sugar, melted butter, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
- Gradually stir in the flour until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into equal parts. Shape each part into rolls and place them on a greased baking sheet.
- Cover the rolls with a towel and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter.
Tips:
- Make sure the milk is not too hot or it will kill the yeast.
- You can add toppings like sesame seeds or garlic butter before baking for extra flavor.
- These rolls are best served warm with a pat of butter.
