Soft and fluffy Rolls

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  2. Add sugar, melted butter, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
  3. Gradually stir in the flour until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough and divide it into equal parts. Shape each part into rolls and place them on a greased baking sheet.
  7. Cover the rolls with a towel and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  9. Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter.
    Tips:
  • Make sure the milk is not too hot or it will kill the yeast.
  • You can add toppings like sesame seeds or garlic butter before baking for extra flavor.
  • These rolls are best served warm with a pat of butter.
