Soft and Fluffy Raisin Bread Recipe

Soft and Fluffy Raisin Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup raisins

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  2. Stir in the beaten eggs and melted butter until well combined.
  3. Gradually add flour and salt to the mixture, kneading until a soft dough forms. Fold in the raisins.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan, cover, and let it rise for an additional 30 minutes.
  7. Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let it cool before slicing.
    Tips:
  • Make sure the milk is at the right temperature to activate the yeast.
  • Knead the dough until smooth and elastic for a fluffy texture.
  • Feel free to add nuts or cinnamon for extra flavor.
