Soft and Fluffy Raisin Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup warm milk
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup raisins
Directions:
- In a large bowl, mix together warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- Stir in the beaten eggs and melted butter until well combined.
- Gradually add flour and salt to the mixture, kneading until a soft dough forms. Fold in the raisins.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan, cover, and let it rise for an additional 30 minutes.
- Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let it cool before slicing.
Tips:
- Make sure the milk is at the right temperature to activate the yeast.
- Knead the dough until smooth and elastic for a fluffy texture.
- Feel free to add nuts or cinnamon for extra flavor.
