- 1 cup of warm milk
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 3 teaspoons of active dry yeast
- 4 eggs
- 4 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of mixed candied fruit

- Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Divide the dough into two equal portions and shape them into braided loaves. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the loaves with the beaten egg wash.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and let the loaves cool before serving.
Tips:
- You can customize the toppings by sprinkling some colored sugar on top before baking.
- Serve warm with butter or jam for a delicious breakfast treat.
