Delicious Spinach Quiche
Ingredients:
- 200g (7 oz) fresh spinach leaves
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk
- 1 cup (100 g) grated cheese (Gruyère, cheddar, or mozzarella)
- 1 pre-made pie crust, thawed if frozen
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant.
- Add the fresh spinach leaves and cook until wilted. If using frozen spinach, make sure to thaw and squeeze out any excess moisture.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, and milk. Season with salt and pepper.
- Stir in the cooked spinach mixture and grated cheese.
- Place the pre-made pie crust in a pie dish and pour in the spinach filling.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the quiche is set and golden brown.
- Allow the quiche to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Tips:
- Feel free to add in your favorite ingredients such as mushrooms, bell peppers, or sun-dried tomatoes.
- You can make this quiche ahead of time and reheat it in the oven when ready to serve.
- Serve with a side salad or fresh fruit for a complete meal.
