Delicious Spinach Quiche

Ingredients:

  • 200g (7 oz) fresh spinach leaves
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk
  • 1 cup (100 g) grated cheese (Gruyère, cheddar, or mozzarella)
  • 1 pre-made pie crust, thawed if frozen
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add the fresh spinach leaves and cook until wilted. If using frozen spinach, make sure to thaw and squeeze out any excess moisture.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, and milk. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Stir in the cooked spinach mixture and grated cheese.
  6. Place the pre-made pie crust in a pie dish and pour in the spinach filling.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the quiche is set and golden brown.
  8. Allow the quiche to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
    Tips:
  • Feel free to add in your favorite ingredients such as mushrooms, bell peppers, or sun-dried tomatoes.
  • You can make this quiche ahead of time and reheat it in the oven when ready to serve.
  • Serve with a side salad or fresh fruit for a complete meal.
