Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup condensed milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted beef fat, melted
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- Additional melted butter for brushing
Directions:
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Add the warm milk, condensed milk, melted beef fat, and egg to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place on a greased baking sheet.
- Let the dough balls rise for an additional 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Brush the dough balls with melted butter and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Brush the baked buns with more melted butter before serving.
Tips:
- Make sure the milk is warm to activate the yeast properly.
- Don’t skip the step of punching down the dough before shaping the buns, as it helps remove air bubbles and ensures a better texture.
- Feel free to add toppings like sesame seeds or shredded coconut before baking for extra flavor and texture.
