Soft and Fluffy Milk Buns

Soft and Fluffy Milk Buns

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of warm milk
  • 1 cup of warm water
  • 1 tablespoon of active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 4 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter, melted

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add the flour, salt, and melted butter to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Punch down the dough and divide it into equal-sized balls. Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Let the dough balls rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Brush the buns with melted butter after baking for a shiny finish.
    Tips:
  • Make sure the milk and water are warm, but not too hot to kill the yeast.
  • You can add toppings like sesame seeds or poppy seeds before baking for extra flavor.
  • Enjoy these soft and fluffy milk buns warm with butter or your favorite spread.
