Soft and Fluffy Milk Buns
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of warm milk
- 1 cup of warm water
- 1 tablespoon of active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 4 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter, melted
Directions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add the flour, salt, and melted butter to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Punch down the dough and divide it into equal-sized balls. Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Let the dough balls rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Brush the buns with melted butter after baking for a shiny finish.
Tips:
- Make sure the milk and water are warm, but not too hot to kill the yeast.
- You can add toppings like sesame seeds or poppy seeds before baking for extra flavor.
- Enjoy these soft and fluffy milk buns warm with butter or your favorite spread.
