Chocolate Banana Oat Dessert
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups (120g) rolled oats
- 1 cup (250ml) hot milk of your choice
- 2 medium ripe bananas
- 2 eggs or vegan substitute
- 4 tablespoons (45g) cocoa or carob powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/3 cup (40g) nuts
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (360°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats and hot milk. Let it soak for 10 minutes.
- Mash the ripe bananas and add them to the oat mixture.
- Mix in the eggs, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder until well combined.
- Fold in the nuts.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 40 minutes, or until set and slightly firm to the touch.
- Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
Tips:
- You can top the dessert with a sprinkle of extra cocoa powder or a dollop of yogurt for added flavor.
- Customize the nuts used based on your preferences, such as walnuts, almonds, or pecans.
