Amish Peanut Butter Cream Pie
Ingredients:
- 1 9-inch pie crust
- 1 cup of creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup of powdered sugar
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup of cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup of milk
- 1/4 cup of crushed peanuts for topping
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake the pie crust according to package instructions, then let it cool completely.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter and powdered sugar until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold in the vanilla extract, cream cheese, and milk into the peanut butter mixture until well combined.
- Carefully fold in half of the whipped cream until fully incorporated.
- Pour the peanut butter filling into the cooled pie crust and smooth the top.
- Spread the remaining whipped cream over the filling and sprinkle with crushed peanuts.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
Tips:
- For a richer flavor, use homemade pie crust instead of store-bought.
- Make sure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature for easier mixing.
- Feel free to sprinkle additional crushed peanuts or chocolate shavings on top for extra garnish.
