Fluffy Condensed Milk Bread
Ingredients:
- 30g (2 tbsp) of sugar
- 7g (2 ¼ tsp) of dry yeast
- 520g (4 ¼ cups) of all-purpose flour
- 200ml (3/4 cup) of condensed milk
- 120ml (1/2 cup) of warm water
- 60g (1/4 cup) of unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp of salt
Directions:
- In a small bowl, mix together the warm water, sugar, and dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture, condensed milk, and melted butter. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-1.5 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a loaf pan.
- Punch down the risen dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it into the prepared pan, cover, and let it rise again for another 30-45 minutes.
- Bake the bread in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until it turns golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool before slicing and serving.
Tips:
- Make sure the water you use for the yeast is warm, not hot, as hot water can kill the yeast.
- You can brush the top of the bread with melted butter after baking for a shiny finish.
