Condensed Milk Buns – Pillow Soft & Irresistible!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted beef fat, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Additional melted butter for brushing

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. Add the warm milk, condensed milk, melted beef fat, and egg to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place on a greased baking sheet.
  6. Let the dough balls rise for an additional 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  8. Brush the dough balls with melted butter and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Brush the baked buns with more melted butter before serving.
    Tips:
  • Make sure the milk is warm to activate the yeast properly.
  • Don’t skip the step of punching down the dough before shaping the buns, as it helps remove air bubbles and ensures a better texture.
  • Feel free to add toppings like sesame seeds or shredded coconut before baking for extra flavor and texture.
