Ingredients for a large brioche (or 2 small ones):
500 g of flour
1 cube of baker’s yeast
1 pot of natural yogurt (125g)
10 cl of lukewarm milk
100 g of sugar
100g butter
1 egg
Preparation :
To melt the butter.
Heat the milk slightly so that it is lukewarm.
In a bowl, mix the yogurt, sugar, melted butter, and egg.
Crumble the yeast into the lukewarm milk and add everything to the mixture previously. Mix well with a whisk.
In the bowl of a food processor, pour the flour, make a well and pour in the liquid mixture.
Mix on hook for 15 minutes. (if you don’t have a robot, you can knead the dough by hand).
When the dough is ready, cover the mixer bowl with a clean cloth.
Leave to rise for two hours near a radiator.
Then degas the dough and separate it into 8 pieces of dough.
Place the dough pieces in a loaf pan or large cake pan. Leave to rise again for 1 hour.
Brown the brioche with a little milk using a brush.
Sprinkle with granulated sugar.
Bake for 35 min. in an oven preheated to 180°C.
Allow to cool a little before consuming !
Advice :
The brioche is eaten plain, spread with a little butter (my pretty butter knife comes from Rakuten), jam or spread for those with a sweet tooth! If there is any left, we prepare brioche perdu!
