Ingredients:

  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 ¼ cups warm milk
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3 ½ – 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (for brushing)

Directions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add sugar, melted butter, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour to the mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough and divide it into small pieces. Shape each piece into a roll and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  9. Brush the rolls with melted butter and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy the fluffy Texas Roadhouse Rolls!

  • You can brush the rolls with honey butter before serving for added flavor.
  • Make sure not to over-knead the dough to keep the rolls light and fluffy.
