Texas Roadhouse Rolls!
Ingredients:
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 ¼ cups warm milk
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 3 ½ – 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (for brushing)
Directions:
- In a large mixing bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add sugar, melted butter, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
- Gradually add flour to the mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into small pieces. Shape each piece into a roll and place on a baking sheet.
- Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Brush the rolls with melted butter and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm and enjoy the fluffy Texas Roadhouse Rolls!
Tips:
- You can brush the rolls with honey butter before serving for added flavor.
- Make sure not to over-knead the dough to keep the rolls light and fluffy.
- These rolls are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven.
