STRAWBERRY TART RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:

THE BASE:

  • 200 g butter( room temperature)
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 cup powder sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups flour

THE PASTRY CREAM:

  • 2 cups liquid milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • zest of 1 lemon

METHOD:

  1. In a large bowl, cream the butter & sugar. add the eggs & vanilla mix to combine then add the flour & continue mixing until getting a combined s dough.
  2. Spread the dough in the tart pan, poke the surface with the tip of a fork . bake it in a preheated oven 180’C for 20 minutes.
  3. let it cool down before removing it from the pan.

FOR THE CREAM:

  1. in a pan, mix all the ingredients together put on medium heat while mixing continuously until thickened.
  2. Transfer it to container and cover it directly on the top to avoid getting a thick layer when you want to use it!.
  3. Let it cool completly before spreading it on the cooled baked dough.
  4. ENJOY.
