Perfectly Mini Doughnuts Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- Oil for frying
Directions:
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix the milk, egg, vanilla extract, and melted butter.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Heat the oil in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot to 350°F (180°C).
- Using a small cookie scoop or spoon, drop small amounts of dough into the hot oil.
- Fry the mini doughnuts for about 1-2 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
- Repeat with the remaining dough, adjusting the temperature of the oil as needed.
- Once the mini doughnuts have cooled slightly, toss them in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar, if desired.

Tips:
- Be sure not to overcrowd the frying pot, as this can lower the oil temperature and result in soggy doughnuts.
