FRESHLY BAKED DINNER ROLLS

These warm, buttery rolls only take a few hands-on preparation because the yeast does all the work, children like to help shape them, and they fill the home with a delicious smell. Even better, the same dough can be used for THE BUN.

INGREDIENTS:

3 cups of flour
2 tsp of yeast
1 cup of milk
2 tbsp of sugar
1 tsp of salt
1 large egg
Half a cup of melted butter

METHOD:

•In a mixing bowl,add yeast,1 tbsp of sugar and lukewarm milk (it should not be hot,it’ll kill the yeast)mix and cover it for about 5-7 minutes to bloom.

•in the yeast mixture,add egg,melted butter,flour,salt and the remaining 1tbsp of sugar then mix well.

•transfer the dough on a slightly floured surface then kneed for about 10 minutes or till the dough is smooth.

•place the dough in a greased bowl,cover it and put in a warm place until it has doubled the size.

•punch the dough to remove the air. Roll the dough into small balls then place in a greased baking tray. Cover it to let it rise for the second time.

•bake at 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes

•brush the rolls with butter immediately after taking them out of the oven.

Then enjoy Freshly baked dinner rolls.
