Fluffy Milk Roll Bread

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of warm milk
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 packet of active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 egg

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm milk and let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add the melted butter, sugar, salt, and egg to the yeast mixture, and mix well.
  3. Gradually add in the flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal parts. Shape each part into a small roll and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  9. Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Allow the rolls to cool before serving.
    Tips:
  • Make sure the milk is not too hot or it will kill the yeast.
  • You can brush the rolls with melted butter after baking for a shiny finish.
  • These rolls are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven with a pat of butter.
