Fluffy Milk Roll Bread
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup of warm milk
- 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 packet of active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 egg
Directions:
- In a bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm milk and let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add the melted butter, sugar, salt, and egg to the yeast mixture, and mix well.
- Gradually add in the flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal parts. Shape each part into a small roll and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Allow the rolls to cool before serving.
Tips:
- Make sure the milk is not too hot or it will kill the yeast.
- You can brush the rolls with melted butter after baking for a shiny finish.
- These rolls are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven with a pat of butter.
