  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 large egg

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  5. Divide the dough into separate bowls and add food coloring to each bowl to create different colors.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and use cookie cutters to cut out shapes.
  7. Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheet, decorate with sprinkles, and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
    Tips:
  • To prevent the dough from sticking to the cookie cutters, dip them in flour before cutting out shapes.
