Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
- 100 grams of unsalted butter, softened
- 175 grams of granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 200 grams of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 150 grams of chocolate chips
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Tips:
- For extra chocolatey cookies, you can add some extra chocolate chips on top of each cookie dough before baking.
- Make sure not to overbake the cookies to keep them soft and chewy.
