Fluffy Yogurt Cake
Ingredients:
- 4 large eggs, separated
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of cornstarch
- 1 cup of plain yogurt
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the egg yolks with sugar until pale and creamy.
- Mix in the cornstarch and yogurt until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the egg whites into the yolk mixture until just incorporated.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Tips:
- Make sure to beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form for a light and fluffy texture.
- You can top the cake with fresh berries or a dusting of powdered sugar for an extra touch.
