Simple and easy fluffy Doughnut
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- Oil for frying
Directions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and vegetable oil.
- Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Heat the frying oil in a deep skillet or pot to 375°F (190°C).
- Carefully drop spoonfuls of the doughnut batter into the hot oil, frying 2-3 at a time.
- Fry the doughnuts for about 2 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Remove the doughnuts from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
- While still warm, coat the doughnuts in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
