Soft Apple Cake – Short & Crisp

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup of neutral flavored oil
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 packet of baking powder (16 g)
  • 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • Lemon or Orange flavoring
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9-inch cake pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Stir in the oil, milk, and flavoring until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the flour and baking powder, mixing until a smooth batter forms.
  5. Gently fold in the diced apples until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
    Tips:
  • You can also add a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg for extra flavor.
  • Serve the cake warm with a dollop of whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for a delicious dessert.
