INGREDIENTS:
THE BASE:
- 200 g butter( room temperature)
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 cup powder sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups flour
THE PASTRY CREAM:
- 2 cups liquid milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp flour
- zest of 1 lemon
METHOD:
- In a large bowl, cream the butter & sugar. add the eggs & vanilla mix to combine then add the flour & continue mixing until getting a combined s dough.
- Spread the dough in the tart pan, poke the surface with the tip of a fork . bake it in a preheated oven 180’C for 20 minutes.
- let it cool down before removing it from the pan.
FOR THE CREAM:
- in a pan, mix all the ingredients together put on medium heat while mixing continuously until thickened.
- Transfer it to container and cover it directly on the top to avoid getting a thick layer when you want to use it!.
- Let it cool completly before spreading it on the cooled baked dough.
