Upside-Down Banana Cake
Ingredients:
- 1 egg
- 6 tablespoons of sugar
- 130 ml of milk
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups of cake flour or all-purpose flour
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the milk, salt, and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
- Gradually fold in the flour until a smooth batter forms.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Arrange sliced bananas in a single layer on top of the batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a serving plate.
Tips:
- To enhance the flavor, you can sprinkle cinnamon or nutmeg on top of the sliced bananas before baking.
