Toffee Crunch

Preparation : 30 mn – Cooking : 45 mn – Refrigeration : 1 h

Ingredients :

200 g of flour
90 g of brown sugar
1 pinch of salt
170 g butter
1 egg + 1 yolk
4 apples
½ lemon
½ teaspoon of cinnamon powder
200 g cottage cheese
30 g powdered sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
40 g almond powder
10 cl of caramel sauce

PREPARATION :

Mix 140 g flour with 30 g brown sugar and salt.

Cut 110 g of butter into small pieces.

Work the brown sugar with the butter into a sandy mixture. Make the dough homogeneous by adding an egg yolk. Keep the dough in a cool place for 1 hour, wrapped in cling film.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (Th.6).

In the meantime, peel, core and cut the apples into pieces. Lemon them and sprinkle them with cinnamon.

Butter and flour a mold. Roll out the dough and place it in the pan. Prick it with a fork and bake for 15 minutes.

Beat the egg with the cottage cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Put the mixture on the bottom of the pie and arrange the apples on top.

Mix the remaining 50 g of flour, 60 g of brown sugar, 60 g of butter and almond powder into a thick sand. Sprinkle the top of the pie with this almond brown sugar.

Bake in the oven for 30 minutes, then let cool before serving topped with caramel sauce.
