“I’ve been making these for years and people lose their mind over them every time. They seem like a special homemade treat, but even my 10 year old can make them by herself. A FABULOUS dessert that couldn’t be easier! If you’ve never had this before they are a must make, grandma’s recipe!”
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of chopped nuts (optional)
Directions :
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and butter together in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Let it cool slightly.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, and vanilla until well combined.
- Slowly pour the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring constantly.
- Stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined. If using nuts, fold them in at this point.
- Spread the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Tips :
- For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake them and let them cool completely before cutting.
- Feel free to add in your favorite mix-ins like chocolate chunks, caramel swirls, or marshmallows.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
