Semolina porridge from grandmother – simply delicious
Ingredients :
800 ml milk
80 g soft wheat semolina
2 tablespoons sugar
1 sachet vanilla sugar
1 pinch(s) salt
1 egg(s)
25 g butter
Preparation :
Bring the milk, sugar, vanilla sugar and a pinch of salt to the boil in a large saucepan. Add the semolina while stirring with a whisk and bring to the boil again. Then remove the pot from the stove and let the semolina stand covered for 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, separate the yolk from the white. Beat the egg whites until stiff. Stir the egg yolk into the semolina. Also add the butter to the semolina porridge and stir until the butter has melted. Finally, carefully fold the beaten egg whites into the finished semolina pudding.
Compote of your choice, cinnamon and sugar or brown butter taste good with it.
