- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Tips:
- For extra chewy cookies, slightly underbake them and let them finish setting up on the baking sheet.
- You can customize these cookies by adding nuts, dried fruit, or other mix-ins of your choice.
