Mini Milk Tart Tarts
Ingredients:
- 1 package of pre-made mini tart shells
- 1 can (400g) of condensed milk
- 1 cup of full-cream milk
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp of cornflour
- 2 large eggs
- Ground cinnamon for sprinkling
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a saucepan, combine the condensed milk, full-cream milk, and vanilla extract. Heat gently, stirring occasionally.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the cornflour and eggs until smooth.
- Slowly add the warm milk mixture to the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
- Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the custard thickens (about 5-7 minutes).
- Remove from heat and pour the custard into the pre-baked mini tart shells.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes until the tarts set.
- Allow them to cool and then sprinkle with ground cinnamon before serving.
Tips:
- Make sure to constantly whisk the custard mixture to ensure a smooth texture.
- You can customize these mini tarts by adding a sprinkle of nutmeg or a drizzle of caramel sauce on top before serving.
- Serve these mini milk tart tarts chilled for a refreshing treat.
