Italian Cabbage

Italian Cabbage: an easy dish recipe

Ingredients :

1 cabbage
2 tomatoes
400 gr of minced meat
1/2 lemon
5 cumin seeds
50 g grated Gruyere cheese
1 bay leaf
salt
pepper

Preparation:

Step: 1
Peel the cabbage and wash it.
Step: 2
In a pot, boil salted water then throw in the cabbage, let it blanch and cook for 10 minutes.
Step 3
During this time, cut the tomatoes and cook them in a steamer with a bay leaf, the juice of half a lemon and the cumin seeds, salt and pepper.
Step 4
Leave to cook gently for 10 minutes.
Step: 5
Drain the cabbage and cut it into strips then add it to the tomatoes and let it simmer for another 15 minutes, then remove the bay leaf
Step: 6
Pour the vegetables in a gratin dish and add the minced meat, sprinkle with grated Gruyère cheese, put in a hot oven (230°C thermostat 7/8) for 20 minutes and serve immediately.
