Homemade Bread with Sunflower Seed Oil
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 packet of active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 1 cup of warm water
- 2 tablespoons of sunflower seed oil
- 1/4 cup of sunflower seeds
Directions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, salt, and sugar.
- Gradually add the warm water and sunflower seed oil to the dry ingredients, mixing well until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place the loaf on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the top of the loaf with water and sprinkle sunflower seeds on top.
- Bake the bread for 25-30 minutes, or until it is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- Allow the bread to cool before slicing and serving.
Tips
- Make sure the water you use is not too hot or too cold, as this can affect the yeast’s ability to rise.
- You can customize this recipe by adding other seeds or nuts to the dough for extra flavor and texture.
- Store the bread in an airtight container or bag to keep it fresh for longer.
