Ham and Cheese Croquettes are breaded and fried dumplings filled with ham and melted cheese. They are often served as a side dish for a meal or as a quick snack. Perfect for ham and cheese lovers.
Ingredients :
150 g of Serrano ham
150 g of grated cheese
1 onion
75 g butter +/-100 g flour
+/-30 cl of milk
salt, pepper, nutmeg, smoked paprika
egg, flour, breadcrumbs, oil
Preparation :
Finely chop the onion and sweat it in a little oil.
Once translucent, add the diced ham and let it brown for 5 minutes.
Add the butter and melt it. Sprinkle with flour, stir well and pour in the milk gradually.
Stir to avoid lumps in the bechamel.
Add grated cheese and season.
Let cool and harden in a cool place for 3 hours. Form croquettes, roll them in the flour and then in the beaten eggs and breadcrumbs.
Fry in hot oil.
