[Easter Desserts] Easter Poke Cake
Ingredients:
- 1 box of vanilla cake mix
- 1 cup of hot water
- 1 box of strawberry gelatin
- 1 cup of cold water
- 1 container of whipped topping
- Pastel sprinkles for garnish
Directions:
- Prepare and bake the vanilla cake mix in a 9×13 inch pan according to the package instructions.
- Once the cake is baked and cooled, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake.
- In a bowl, mix together the hot water and strawberry gelatin until fully dissolved. Stir in the cold water.
- Carefully pour the strawberry gelatin mixture over the cake, making sure to fill all the holes.
- Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours to set.
- Once the cake has set, spread the whipped topping over the top.
- Decorate with pastel sprinkles for a festive touch.
Tips:
- You can get creative with the gelatin flavors and whipped topping variations for different flavor combinations.
- Be sure to refrigerate the cake for the specified amount of time to allow the gelatin to set properly.
