Deliciously Easy Cinnamon Donut Loaf

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    For the topping:
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. While the loaf is baking, mix together the sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
  8. Once the loaf is done baking, remove it from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
  9. Remove the loaf from the pan and brush the melted butter over the top.
  10. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the top of the loaf.
  11. Slice and serve!
    Tips:
  • Make sure not to overmix the batter to keep the loaf light and fluffy.
  • You can add a cream cheese glaze for an extra touch of sweetness.
