Deliciously Easy Cinnamon Donut Loaf
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the topping: - 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- While the loaf is baking, mix together the sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
- Once the loaf is done baking, remove it from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
- Remove the loaf from the pan and brush the melted butter over the top.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the top of the loaf.
- Slice and serve!
Tips:
- Make sure not to overmix the batter to keep the loaf light and fluffy.
- You can add a cream cheese glaze for an extra touch of sweetness.
