Delicious Homemade Cinnamon-Sugar Donuts with Chocolate Drizzle
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Cooking spray
For the Cinnamon-Sugar Coating: - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
For the Chocolate Drizzle: - 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon butter
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Spray a donut pan with cooking spray and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the donuts spring back when lightly touched.
- In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon for the coating. While the donuts are still warm, dip each one in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until coated.
- For the chocolate drizzle, melt the chocolate chips and butter together in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Drizzle over the cinnamon-sugar coated donuts.
