INGREDIENTS :
Meatloaf
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup bread morsels
2 lbs lean ground beef
1/3 cup milk
1/4 cup finely divided onion
1/4 teaspoon dried leaf thyme
2 beaten eggs
3/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 black pepper
Gravy
2 cups beef stock
1/2 teaspoon Kitchen Spices
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/3 cup flour
1/3 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 Tablespoons butter
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 180°C degrees.
Butter a loaf pan.
Mix up the ground beef, salt, pepper, eggs, bread crumbs, Worcestershire, milk, thyme, onion, and rosemary.
Pack into loaf pan and place on a baking sheet.
Chill for about 1 hour to set and cook it for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
In the meanwhile prepare the gravy.
Melt butter in a medium-sized saucepan.
Add flour and stir.
Prepare the flour and butter mixture stirring constantly for about 5 minutes.
Add the stock and stir with a wire whisk until blended.
Add milk, thyme, Worcestershire sauce and Kitchen Spices and stir to blend.
Set flavoring with salt and pepper to your taste and serve over meatloaf.
You can present this plat with rice and peas.
