Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter until well combined.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each mold about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the donuts spring back when lightly touched.
- Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Tips:
- Be careful not to overmix the batter, as this can result in tough donuts.
- For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of nutmeg or cinnamon to the dry ingredients.
- These donuts are best enjoyed the day they are made, but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
