CINNAMON ROLLS

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 3/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup of warm milk
  • 1/3 cup of unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons of instant dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup of melted butter
  • 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of ground cinnamon

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and granulated sugar. Mix well.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, warm milk, melted butter, and yeast until smooth.
  3. Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, then place it in a greased bowl and cover with a clean towel. Allow the dough to rise for 1-2 hours.
  5. Once the dough has doubled in size, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  6. Spread the melted butter over the dough, then sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon on top.
  7. Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other, then slice it into 12 equal pieces.
  8. Place the cinnamon rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and bake the cinnamon rolls for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!
    Tips:
  • To make the cinnamon rolls extra gooey, drizzle with icing made from powdered sugar and milk.
  • Feel free to add chopped nuts or raisins to the filling for extra flavor and texture.
  • These cinnamon rolls are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
