Our favorite cookies for Easter

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  6. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
    Tips:
  • For extra chewy cookies, slightly underbake them and let them finish setting up on the baking sheet.
  • You can customize these cookies by adding nuts, dried fruit, or other mix-ins of your choice.
