Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp matcha powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup condensed milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, matcha powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and condensed milk until smooth.
  4. Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
    Tips:
  • For a stronger matcha flavor, you can increase the amount of matcha powder used.
  • Serve slices of the pound cake with a dollop of whipped cream or a sprinkle of powdered sugar on top.
