These Chinese beef puff pastry pies

These Chinese beef puff pastry pies are delicious for snack, breakfast or meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped green onion
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • Ground pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 package puff pastry sheets, thawed according to package

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Add the garlic, green onion, salt, cumin, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water until smooth. Add to the beef mixture and stir until well combined. Remove from heat and let the filling cool.
  4. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut into circles using a round cutter.
  5. Place a spoonful of the beef filling in the center of each pastry circle. Fold the pastry over the filling to create a half-moon shape. Use a fork to crimp the edges and seal the pies.
  6. Place the pies on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Serve the Chinese beef puff pastry pies warm and enjoy!
