Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the milk, salt, and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
  4. Gradually fold in the flour until a smooth batter forms.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  6. Arrange sliced bananas in a single layer on top of the batter.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a serving plate.
