Rice Krispie Chocolate Chip Cookies

Rice Krispie Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) of unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup of packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup of Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup of chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal and chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the cookie dough.
  6. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each cookie.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
    Tips:
  • For an extra chocolatey boost, you can use chocolate chunks instead of chocolate chips.
  • Make sure your butter is softened to room temperature for easier mixing.
  • Feel free to add in chopped nuts or dried fruit for added texture and flavor.
