One Bowl Chocolate Cake

One bowl of chocolate cake is the easiest chocolate cake recipe for any novice baker. It is very simple and easy to make for a family or when you want to bake something very quickly.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (120 grams/ 4 1/4 Oz) of all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of coffee powder (optional)
  • 3/4th cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 cup of yoghurt
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs at room temperature

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, coffee powder, cocoa powder, and sugar. Mix well.
  3. Add the yoghurt, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and eggs to the dry ingredients. Mix until everything is well combined and smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth out the top with a spatula.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Once baked, remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Slice and serve your delicious one-bowl chocolate cake. Enjoy!
