Orange Blender Cake Recipe
This orange cake in a blender is a lazy cake for those who want to make a quick and easy cake.
Ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 1 spoonful of vanilla extract
- 1 spoonful of vinegar
- 1 1/4 cups (250 grams/8.8 oz) of granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) of vegetable oil
- 50 ml of fresh orange juice
- Zest of 2 large oranges
- 2 1/4 cups (300 grams/10.5 oz) of all-purpose flour
- 2 spoonfuls of cornstarch
- 2 tsp of baking powder
- 1/2 tsp of salt
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a blender, mix the eggs, vanilla extract, vinegar, and sugar until well combined.
- Slowly add the oil while blending until smooth.
- Add the orange juice and orange zest, blend for a few more seconds.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the blender and mix until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Tips:
- Make sure not to overmix the batter once the dry ingredients are added to the blender.
- You can add a simple glaze or dust the cake with powdered sugar before serving for an extra touch of sweetness.
