Ingredients :
5 eggs
400 grams of flour
1 tablespoon of baking powder
200 ml of freshly squeezed orange juice
225 g of butter 225 grams
of sugar
1 pack of vanilla sugar
1 flavor point (fineness of orange flavor)
300 g of oranges, diced
Preparation :
First, cream the butter with the sifted vanilla sugar, sugar and orange flavouring. Gradually incorporate the egg yolks. Now mix the baking powder with flour, sift and mix in this mixture of yolk alternately with orange juice. Whip the egg whites until stiff and you have to mix them under the dough.
Now stir the orange pieces into the batter.
Then pour the mixture into a buttered and floured ring mold and bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes at 180°C.
Finally let the Gugelhupf cool down and finally sprinkle it with icing sugar
